Bluedot acquired by Epic Charging
Epic Charging has acquired Bluedot, the Palo Alto-based EV fleet charging management and payments platform, creating the market's only end-to-end EV charging solution for fleet operators with access to over 80% of U.S. public charging networks.

EV charging software provider Epic Charging has acquired Bluedot, the Palo Alto-based EV fleet charging management and payments platform. Bluedot, which provides access to over 80% of public charging points in the U.S.; brings its brand, platform technology, intellectual property, customer contracts, and team members under Epic Charging. The deal closed on May 1.
Bluedot was founded by Ferhat Babacan (CEO) and Selinay Parlak (COO). The platform delivers a single, automated payment solution for fleet drivers, eliminating the need to juggle multiple apps or cards across different charging networks. Drivers also gain access to real-time telematics integration, smart route optimization, the industry's most robust fraud prevention tools, and IRS-compliant home charging reimbursement tracking; capabilities never before unified under one roof.
The absence of any direct competitor offering a fleet charging payment and management solution at this scale quickly led to strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 and government fleets, including Rivian, Hertz, Vay, the City of San Francisco, and Avride. A graduate of Y Combinator's Winter 2023 cohort, Bluedot has raised over $5 million from investors including Axel Springer & Porsche (now Heartfelt), Ford Driventure, Samsara, Revo Capital, Eksim Ventures, Treeo VC, and leaders from Plaid, CashApp, and Square.
Ferhat Babacan, CEO of Bluedot: "We built Bluedot to solve the real, everyday problems fleet drivers face. After operating more than 100 charging stations and talking to hundreds of fleet managers, it became clear that what this industry needed wasn't another charger; it was software that unified fragmented networks under one roof and made the driver's job easier. Joining Epic Charging gives us the scale to bring this technology to the customers who need it most."
Selinay Parlak, COO of Bluedot: "Our customers told us one thing: 'Charging shouldn't be this complicated.' Every partnership we built — from Hertz to Rivian, from the City of San Francisco to Vay; was rooted in that promise. Together with Epic, we can now keep that promise at a much greater scale."
With this acquisition, Epic becomes the market's only true end-to-end EV charging solution for fleet operators: Epic's award-winning charge point management system (CPMS) and Bluedot's innovative payments and access platform now sit under one roof. The result is an OCPP-compliant management platform that enables fleet drivers to find, charge, and pay across more than 80% of all U.S. charging networks, a combination no other company offers.
Epic will also use the acquisition to accelerate the development of Charge OptimAIzer, an AI-powered energy management system that leverages Bluedot's fleet data and telematics capabilities. In addition, Epic-powered charging networks will become accessible through the Bluedot app, delivering a complete EV charging ecosystem to fleet drivers.
Michael Bakunin, CEO of Epic Charging: "Every charging operator is asking the same question: how do we get more charging sessions at our sites? Bluedot answers that question. Fleet drivers using Bluedot can now discover and charge at Epic-powered sites across the country. That means operators and site hosts running on Epic gain access to real, sustained demand from one of the fastest-growing segments of EV charging."
Bluedot will continue to operate as a distinct brand within Epic Charging, ensuring seamless continuity for its existing customers.
